Specific Position Characteristics:
The position requires a commitment to a small but growing undergraduate Theatre Arts program with a liberal arts mission. Major duties include curricular coordination of the design/tech
area, development of a scenographically-focused design curriculum with an interdisciplinary and global perspective, and the mentoring and advising of undergraduates. We expect the
maintenance of a professional freelance design career, and there may be design assignments within the USD/Old Globe MFA program. Terminal degree preferred but not required.
